MALIBU STUDENTS

Malibu education foundation is THE ONLY ORGANIZATION THAT RAISES FUNDS FOR ALL Four MALIBU PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

As a community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the educational journey of students in all of our Malibu public schools, our fundraising supports vital resources, staffing, and enrichment programs, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, physically, and creatively.

We are supported by the generous contributions of community members, school families, the City of Malibu, SMMUSD, and the local business community.

Students from all four schools showcase the musical excellence offered within Malibu public school education.

Established in April 2024 by a group of parent leaders, with seed funding support from the City of Malibu and Santa Monica-Malibu School District, to provide a sustainable fundraising source for vital resources across all Malibu public schools well into the future.

MEF is endorsed by school administration as well as the following parent organizations who support our mission and efforts:

  • Webster Elementary School PTA

  • Malibu Elementary School PTA

  • Malibu Middle and Malibu High School PTSA

  • The Athletic Booster Club

  • Arts Angels

  • The Shark Fund

Our work doesn’t replace the important efforts of the PTA and Shark Fund, but supports them by taking on the larger fundraising burden and ensuring sustainable funding for the staff and programs that all of our schools rely on.

This year, MEF committed to fundraise to support $850,000 of staffing and program costs across our four Malibu public schools. As we move toward district separation, MEF will be critical in maintaining the quality of education in Malibu.
