ABOUT US

Our Mission

Malibu Education Foundation (MEF) is our community-focused organization dedicated to enhancing the educational journey of students in all of our Malibu public schools.

Our fundraising supports vital resources, staffing, and enrichment programs, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, physically, and creatively.

MEF is supported by the generous contributions of community members, school families, the City of Malibu, SMMUSD, and the local business community.

OUR IMPACT

Since establishing as a nonprofit in April 2024, Malibu Education Foundation organized around a 3-year plan for launch.

We made a positive impact on our school communities in the 2023-2024 school year by:

  • Fully funding eight instructional aides across Malibu and Webster Elementary School (four per school) to ensure academic support for our youngest students.

  • Contributing towards the funding of arts education programs at both elementary schools to encourage creativity and confidence.

  • Launching and funding the Malibu Middle School Athletics Program in Spring 2024, with 6 interscholastic teams and 130 students (half the school) participating, to support the physical and mental health of our middle school students.

This year, Malibu Education Foundation has committed to fundraise to support $850,000 in staff and staffed programs, lifting that burden from the PTAs and Shark Fund.

Help support us in creating a brighter future for students by making a donation to Malibu Education Foundation.
